Stephen joined the board of Astley Care in 2021 when he was elected as Chairperson and also chairs the Nominations & Remuneration Committee. He is Managing Director of Parkside Consulting and was previously Chief Technology Officer/Chief Information Officer at Opticomm for 12 years until its sale in November 2020. Stephen also chairs Scouts WA and is non executive director of DGtek. Stephen is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has an MBA, a Master of Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunication Management from Murdoch University. He is currently studying a Master of Business Law at Southern Cross University. Stephen lives in Southern River and family experience with aged care. Astley Care benefits from Stephen's strategic thinking, information systems insight and understanding of governance.
Matthew joined the board of Astley Care in 2021 when he was elected as Deputy Chairperson and also chairs the Finance Audit & Risk Committee. He is Director of Matthew Tognini Consulting after having been Director of KHT Accounting & Wealth for 18 years. Matthew also serves as a Director of HeartKids Limited after many years as a board member and chair of HeartKids WA. In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Matthew has a Graduate Diploma of Education and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Edith Cowan University. Matthew brings strong financial skills, not-for-profit governance expertise and a longstanding commitment to community service.
Mas joined the board of Astley Care in 2021 and also serves on the Nominations & Remuneration Committee. Mas is Organisational Capability Manager for Western Power after having worked as GM People, Learning & Development for Centurion and Executive Director People, Culture and Corporate Services for Communicare Inc. Mas is a professional member (CAHRI) of the Australian HR Institute, Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management. She has a Masters and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, both from Deakin University. Mas brings strong corporate services and people and culture insights to Astley Care.
With 20 years’ experience on Astley Care’s board, Bill has held positions of Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Treasurer. He has an engineering background in the Royal Navy as well as holding Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management and experience in most facets of management, including industrial relations. Like all our Board Members Bill’s involvement with Astley Care is a direct result of his desire to give something back to the community.
Neha joined the board of Astley Care in 2021 and also serves on the Finance Audit & Risk Committee. Neha is Customer Delivery Executive - Mining & Energy for Telstra Purple after having held management roles in Empired Ltd and Kinetic IT. Neha has an MBA from the University of WA, is a GAICD, and has a BComp Sci (Hons) from Edith Cowen University. She has been a state finalist in the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year (2016) and the AIM Excellence Awards, Young Manager of the Year (WA) 2015. Neha also serves on two other not-for-profit board. Neha brings a deep understanding of IT and customer experience along with a strong commitment to community service.
Robyn has 30+ years’ experience in midwifery and nursing and, although retired, is still very active in healthcare. This includes presenting regular induction talks at Nulsen Group Homes, membership of the WA Health Consumer’s Council (Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group) since 2013 and the Consumer Advisory Council since 2015. She has a keen interest in the provision of quality healthcare for the elderly and the ongoing introduction of progressive ideas and methods in service delivery and governance.
Mark joined Astley Care as CEO in 2020 after eight years’ experience as CEO / Director leading not-for-profit service providers in aged care, community and disability services. Prior to working in the community services sector Mark had many years strategic leadership experience with commercial organisations in the health, research, education and technology sectors. Mark holds a BSc(Hons) from UWA, an MBA from Melbourne University, is a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers & Leaders. Mark is an avid choir singer and occasionally needs to be reminded to pipe down in public. Mark is passionate about serving clients through leading community service provider quality, excellence and innovation. He is committed to contributing to a sustainable sector delivering world class aged care services to older Australians.
